The WEM3080 is a single-phase Wi-Fi energy meter for monitoring one single-phase circuit.

It can measure voltage, current, active power, energy consumption, and bidirectional import/export energy. It is suitable for:

  • Single-phase grid-side monitoring
  • Single-phase solar inverter output monitoring
  • A single branch circuit or dedicated load
  • Home Assistant, MQTT, Modbus/TCP, and API integration

For home solar PV users, WEM3080 is useful when you only need to measure one point, such as the grid side or the inverter output.

However, one WEM3080 alone cannot provide complete home solar monitoring because complete solar analysis usually needs both grid-side data and solar production data. To calculate home consumption, self-consumption, grid import/export, and solar savings, use WEM2067, WEM3050T, or a multi-meter setup.


Where WEM3080 Fits in Home Solar Monitoring

WEM3080 is a single-channel meter. This makes it simple and reliable for one measurement point, but it also defines its limitation.

For solar PV monitoring:

  • If WEM3080 is installed on the grid side, it can measure grid import/export.
  • If WEM3080 is installed on the inverter side, it can measure solar production.
